Steampunked

A Musical Doll in a steampunk style with a leather top hat and hand sculpted
head and hands. Spooky Doll. Assemblage Doll. As I strolled the isles of my
favorite Thrift Museum a small little once loved Christmas ornament caught my
eye and all was damaged except for the head and arms and that is what I started
this piece with. This is usually how my items begin, with a once loved item
longing to be loved just one more time.

Attitude

Attitude once a big part of this little dolls life, now restored with a new make over designed by my most favorite designer "Vampsace". She will protect your space with that attitude and her tarnished brass colored sword with her glass knob "gazing ball" holder sitting in front of her. Everything about her is recycled except for the paint and adhesive.

An amazing piece of trivia about little lies, when do you feel a little lie is O.K. and who you would never, ever lie to. I don't tell lies of any kind, that is my other personality who does that(liar, liar). I do lie to my husband if his ego needs polishing (sorry honey). I lie to my Mother if it will keep that halo on my head she thinks she sees. But those are only little lies.

Who is going to be your date for Halloween? I love dressing up for Halloween, but my husband is another story entirely and really not a compatible one at that. I am lucky if I can get him to wear one piece (a very small piece) of a costume at all. He will not let me paint his face but he will on occasion let me put a tattoo on him with one of my markers. I thought about buying some glow in the dark lip balm to see if I could trick him into putting some on. One year I put a glow in the dark hand print thingy on his butt and that worked pretty good for a while, but he figured it out when his friends made fun of him. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear about them.

This just out...Frankenstein was NOT a monster! The 1818 novel (Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus written by Mary Shelley at age eighteen) and the 1931 movie (Frankenstein starring the actor Boris Karloff) both state that Frankenstein is the name of the student of natural psychology, who created the monster. Shelly named the monster Adam and in the movie he goes unnamed. The Book name and the movie names of "Frankenstein" so linked the likeness of the monster that he eventually became Frankenstein the monster forever in the mind of the fans.

Did you have a weird weekend waiting for the next full moon to appear so all that weird tension will be released into a dark cloud of oblivion. I used the weird vibes to play with a few of my newly reincarnated lovelies and add a few dark embellishments. Keep checking back they are almost ready for their close ups.

Twilight Tryst

Just watched some of the Twilight trailers so I'm thinking Twilight, seeing Twilight and might as well pull up one of my Twilight boards with a few of my favorite Twilight Tryst odds and ends. I have more fun photographing my items using colorful backgrounds and experimenting with different types of backdrops. I know white, off white or light gray would make them sell better but it just wouldn't be as much fun for me. Lady Gaga

This is my Little Lady Gaga and yes, that is a Pet Rat wearing crystal bead piercings and silvered jewelry wear. Now that we know we are not hallucinating and not in the throes of a Lucid Dream it seems this little doll just evolved over a few weeks. I started out just fussing with her over done, over bleached and over combed hair and couldn't get it to look decent. If you add a little glitter and silver hair gel who's to know what's decent and what's not. Then I sat her aside for a while until I found a broken glass icicle and I knew it was perfect for her staff and then the little rat came along and wasn't white or even silver but we let him join the gang anyway. She was just too much fun to play with and I will be sad to see her go to some far away place when she is adopted.

Why is it I always had the ugliest eggs imaginable because I could never settle for just one color. I saw them not as ugly but as unique, one of a kind and creatively dark. The Volcano Egg, the Southwestern Tornado Egg or the Barf Egg were not always kindly accepted by my peers. The Camouflage Egg was too hard to find and the Dog Turd Egg was always left to rot away, no

Welcome to the beginning of The Weekend of what else but Superbowl. I am not a really big fan of sports, in school I knew just how many days in gym class that I could ditch, not suit up or play sick and still get a passing grade. I have a 4 inch scar on the top of my head and a smaller on on the inside of my left index finger from 7th grade gym class (one of the days I was sitting out having selectively forgotten my gym wear). If I can get hurt like that sitting out, I imagine I wouldn't have made it out of school alive if I had participated. I have been diagnosed with a type of dyslexia, I have no depth perception and my direction finder has always been screwed up so I had no chance in a gym class. That being said I will be attending a Super Bowl party...because hey, it's a party! I don't know who is playing, even though my husband explained it to me twice, My brain just can't retain sports facts. Thanks for stopping by and have a safe and fun weekend.
