She's an Eye full and she needs her coffee just to get out of bed and into her pink boots! It's another dreary cloudy day here in Oregon and I'm wishing for a little Spring in the weather and in my step. Ooops, just looked outside and it's raining...again and even the Crows are hiding out of sight!

Cyber Vintage Assemblage

Do you have a taste for that odd ball development of recycled assemblage using Vintage pieces in weird ways and creating something even if that "something" is from a wacky dream. Having fun by letting the piece create itself and watching it evolve is a great way to release stress and sit back and laugh at your self like you did as a child. Some how during all those years of growing up, becoming adult and searching for your "ideal" life some of us have lost those child like talents and child like feelings of just having fun.

The night before Christmas, No snow can be seen. I'm vacationing in Tahiti and I know it's a dream! I don't like it when my toes are cold, I don't like living in a snow globe. I cry and I sob but my tears just freeze and then I catch cold and my breath is a wheeze. Take me away from all that is white and give me a green Christmas delight!
This is my idea of a perfect Christmas with lots of green lushness, fake snow flakes and no SNOW!!

Steampunk Baby

Meet the Steampunk Baby of the 2525 (do you remember that song, In the Year 2525) he has the new improved baby buggy which is wired into his little brain to keep all systems at the ready. I used some little gold toned metal buttons, beads, some wire and washers too. There is a cute beaded heart on the front of his chest and his buggy carriage is an altered piece I found at my favorite Thrift Museum. This little one will be going on sale at my Etsy site soon.

Cat lovers everywhere should be happy to know that catgut is NOT made of the intestines of cats. Catgut is actually made from the intestines of sheep, bad news for all you sheep lovers out there. Usually used to string musical instruments and tennis rackets, no one seems to know exactly why it was ever called "catgut" to begin with unless it refers to the sound untrained students make on their instruments.

Enjoy my Steampunk Marathong...did I misspell that, oh well it won't be the first time I have uttered pure nonsense. I have been using some interesting (some vintage) sewing machine parts and pieces on some of my Punky Junk creatures. These little creatures are making me have some weird vivid dreams though, at least I think its the creatures that are causing it. Maybe I need to spend a little time doing something with flowers, sweetness and spice to clear my dreamscape up a little. Maybe not, these things are addictive and I can't wait to see how the next one evolves.

This was an experiment using some of my photos of my creations as a back drop for some one else's fashions. It was fun, I have found another love in my never ending quest to find new homes for my little reincarnated treasures. I guess you'd call it computer graphics, maybe or a collage. But it is an interesting fun way to create. Pity me for being so brief with my blogs as of late I am working, and yes it is a real job. I am on the streets of your neighborhood knocking on door and killing trees with all my paperwork doing Census work. Can't tell you anymore because I took an oath. More later.

What kind of oddity should I try to try to create this time? Sometimes things just don't go as planned and I end up with a stranger item than I expected and sometimes they end up just a little mellow. I go for dark and all I get is a fuzzy gray dark. Reincarnating Accessories

I just love reincarnating Bags that are statement pieces for going out to a special Twilight Tryst. A plain black bag or clutch purse becomes that Crazy Club Clutch that holds your lip gloss, cell phone and I.D. (If you are over 21 that is) Vintage fabrics, buttons and beads are my favorite materials. Unfortunately some of my best finds are from the Great Thrift Museums so I am unable to know for sure that they are Vintage but all have lived past lives of exciting parties and were someone's precious possessions.

I personally intend to first come back as a ghost and linger around the living for a while before I am reincarnated. I also am hoping that when I am reincarnated someone will add a few embellishments, a few extra things to add to the sparkle I hope to have. In this life I have poor vision so maybe someone will sew on eyes that work next time too. And God if you are listening I am not complaining about what I have, I am just hoping for a few extras.

Inspiration Vacation

I had a great time on a short....short vacation to the beach. It was a beautiful day, but my favorite part of the day is watching the sun set. So for all those Dark lovers out there this one is for you! I had three sales when I came back, Yes! And I had renewed energy and creativity enough to finish three or four items and get them listed in my shop this weekend. I really love Spring, but Spring it seems does not love me. I go all through the Winter without hardly a sniffle and Spring comes along with all it beauty and knocks my doo-dad in the dirt. I add something new to my list of allergies every year it seems and something was out there waiting for me and there I was second day of my vacation sniffling, sneezing and an awful sore throat, bah humbug Spring welcome! And yes it was worth it.

Nighty Nite

My great Grandmother used to say this poem to me before bedtime:

Nighty nite,
Sleep tight,
Don't let the big bed bugs bite.
If they do,
pick up a shoe,
And beat them till they are black and blue.

And this was supposed to make me sleep better? Well, no...I kept thinking there was this huge bug under my bed or in the closet just waiting for me to go to sleep. And guess who got beat black and blue for putting their shoes in bed with them? Maybe this was the beginning of my dark side, my imagination running away with me after I took some simple little statement the wrong way. What about "Keeping your eyes peeled" I still find a potato peeler a dark and evil tool. What sayings have you heard that tickle your dark side either in a good way or a bad way?
